I wasn’t a big fan of biology at school.

My teacher was boring. The lessons felt like memorizing dry facts from a textbook. We never got to see how biology connected to real life—how it shaped our health, medicine, and the world around us.

So, I lost interest.

Fast forward to today

I run Life Science Animation, where we help biotech companies explain their science through engaging videos.

At first, I didn’t have a deep scientific background. But how could I create animations that simplify complex biotech innovations if I didn’t understand them myself?

I needed to learn again.

So, I signed up for Harvard Medical School’s Fundamentals of Immunology course. I had to start from scratch—just like someone seeing biotech science for the first time.

And something surprising happened.

I fell in love with biology.

Learning with Purpose

Unlike my school days, this time, I had a reason to learn. Every topic I studied connected directly to the work we do at Life Science Animation.

  • Antibodies, T cells, immune responses—these weren’t just words anymore. They were key to the science our clients were developing.
  • mRNA technology, cell therapy, gene editing—I could finally understand them, not just as concepts, but as breakthroughs changing medicine.
  • Investor pitches, funding rounds, startup growth—I now saw how clear communication of science could make or break these moments.

The Power of Asking Questions

Luckily, I have a team of PhDs who help me whenever I get stuck. They answer my “stupid” questions (even though they say no question is stupid).

At Life Science Animation, we always dive deep into the science behind every video we create. We want to understand why a technology matters—so we can explain it in a way that excites investors, partners, and the public.

Making Science Clear for Everyone

Most people in biotech aren’t explaining science to other scientists. They’re explaining it to investors, regulators, partners—people who may not have a deep scientific background.

That’s exactly where a well-crafted animation helps. It simplifies without oversimplifying. It clarifies without losing depth. It sparks excitement instead of confusion.

I may not be a scientist, but I understand how important it is to communicate science the right way. And that’s what we do every day.
